The existing camp structures have exceeded their service life, and it would be cost-prohibitive to renovate them for sustainablity and code compliance. The new owners' program calls for a two-bedroom residence on two levels. Since the site is long and narrow, Wheelock Associates has proposed the architectural parti of an existential "path", beginning at the driveway and continuing progressively though a small garden, the house itself, the deck, back yard, water's edge, and, finally across the length of Lake Manchaug to a point on the south shore three quarters of a mile distant. |
